Periscope is the winning entry in the 10up international competition. The competition brief requested a temporary installation to act as signage for the Modern Atlanta Event that could be installed in 24 hours in a plot 10’x10’ and for less than $5,000. Matter design studio in colaboration with Dave Pigram of super manoeuvre and Matt Johnson of SGH proposed to build a 50? tall foam tower. The tower went up in only 6 hours with the aid of Tierson Boutte of Boutte Tree.
this series, by nydia lilian, focuses purely on the textures and shadows, unable to see the object as a whole they lead us the tactile side of the images that can be seen with other senses, not just by sight.

toys’R'us, by michael johansson, was made for the exhibition Besökarna (the Visitors) in a new part of Malm. consisting of a boat and related equipment are joined together in a welded metal frame. Everything is painted in a unifying plastic layer to resemble the surface of a model kit. The real boat is transformed into a model of itself, and its original purpose has given way to something else.
