toys’R'us, by michael johansson, was made for the exhibition Besökarna (the Visitors) in a new part of Malm. consisting of a boat and related equipment are joined together in a welded metal frame. Everything is painted in a unifying plastic layer to resemble the surface of a model kit. The real boat is transformed into a model of itself, and its original purpose has given way to something else.

the black house, by andrés remy arquitectos, located in buenos aires, has an almost provocative sobriety, where the pure white in the inside provoques an emotive contrast with the absolute black in the outside. the ground level is divided by a glass bridge linking the everyday and the social areas.

This impressive home, by suppose design, in buzen, conceives the plan as a collection of buildings instead of a set of rooms, where each volume is connected by a courtyard covered with glass. each volume is covered by wood cladding reinforcing the sense of being outside.

this bench designed by frank cresencia, features a slab of american black walnut was air-dried for nearly 25 years before being made into the top for this bench. the ends were cut at a slight angle, while a hand-rubbed oil and polyurethane finish preserves the beauty and color of the wood. the white, powder-coated steel frame adds a modern feel to the clean lines of this piece.

this house, located in Hiroshima, Japan, designed by naf architect & design is developed on 3 levels. The first level is a black cedar box containing the bedroom and the entrance, the second level a terrace whit nothing but steel columns holding up the third level which contains the living room and kitchen.
